Protective styling

It’s been a long time since I’ve worn a protective style whether it be to give my hair a break from styling or protecting it from the winter elements I deal with here in Canada. My protective style of choice  is senegalese twists. The last time I had my hair in twists was probably about 5 years ago and it took the person roughly 10 – 12 hours to complete, but the results were fabulous and I got comments for days on how nice it looked. I have to say that previous experience made me hesitant to get my hair done again. Even though my hair was done by someone different this time around, I am equally pleased, if not more, with the results and will definitely be sporting this style again.

Maintenance routine:

Shampoo and condition every 10 days

moisturize daily with braid spray or mixture of water, leave-in conditioner and EVOO
